We then develop a report and recommendations based on our research and collective expertise – always collaborating with the client or owner throughout the process. Architecture begins with ideas and creative vision. It’s followed closely by project oversight and implementation. Amara Associates provides comprehensive services in conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, bid negotiation, and construction administration. Our Structural Engineering expertise assures total building integrity. We understand and consult on foundation systems, concrete or steel beams and columns, concrete/steel composite floors/roof decking, concrete slabs, load bearing wall systems, lateral forces design, steel moment frames, steel or wood trusses, traditional or engineered lumber, and seismic bracing of electrical, mechanical and fire protection systems. During the bid phase, we assist by finding qualified contractors and preparing documentation such as plan holders lists, responses to questions, addenda, bid tabulation and award recommendation. Construction administration services are provided to ensure conformance to plans, specifications and overall design objectives during construction. This phase typically entails preconstruction and regular progress meetings, submittal and shop drawing review, Requests for Information, coordination with contractor on change orders, site visits and inspections for the duration of construction.
